This Privacy Policy explains how we handles information when you use the Kashi Vishwanath Audio App (the “App”), an audio guide and navigation app for the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham temple complex and surrounding heritage sites in Varanasi, India.
By downloading, installing or using the App you agree to this Policy and to the App’s End User License Agreement shown when the App is first opened. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

These fields are optional in the sense that the form itself is optional — you can use the entire App without ever opening it.

You can grant or revoke any of these permissions at any time in Android Settings → Apps → Kashi Vishwanath Audio App → Permissions. Denying a permission only disables the related feature; the rest of the App continues to work.

We do not use your information for advertising, ad targeting, credit scoring or automated decision-making, and we do not sell or rent it.
Where required by applicable law, including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we process personal data on the basis of your consent, which you give by accepting the EULA and by granting the device permissions described above, and for the legitimate purpose of operating and securing the App. You may withdraw consent at any time by revoking permissions or by uninstalling the App, and by contacting us to request deletion of feedback you have submitted.
We share information only in these limited cases:
We do not share personal information with advertisers or data brokers.
The App opens third-party destinations in your browser or in an embedded web view, including the official Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple website, Google Maps, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram. Once you leave the App, the privacy policy of that service applies. We are not responsible for the practices of those services.
All communication between the App and our servers uses HTTPS. Cleartext network traffic is disabled in the App. We apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the limited data we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The App is a general-audience tourism and heritage guide and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the feedback form, contact us and we will delete it.
Our servers are located in India. Google’s Firebase and Maps services may process data on infrastructure outside India in accordance with their own safeguards and contractual commitments.
We may update this Policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted at this URL with a new “Last updated” date, and material changes will be highlighted in the App or in the Play Store release notes. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
